A handicap is a way of showing the number of shots a golfer is expected to take playing a round of golf in relation to the par of the course. The better a player gets, the lower their handicap becomes (so a play with a 5 handicap has achieved a higher standard than a player with a handicap of 25 for instance). Its a clever way of compensating the players with a number of strokes so that players of differing abilities can then compete fairly against one another and enjoy the game.Absolutely. Early in the dawn today while [zipping through]|brushing through the newspaper, I read a weird news. News that forced shock to ran down my spine. It was a news that really swept me off from my feet. The news was related to a government’s new law and the enforcement and implementation of which was to be done with urgent effects. The news was related to the mechanical class of our society including the electricians, roofers and the plumbers. The affirmation being laid by the news was that according to the new rule, formulated by government, no two people with technical background could marry each other. It is being hyped that people with technical job tend to be short tempered and are very much prone to getting vigorously angry without any strong cause. The young psychiatrists have affirmed that if both the partners are from technical background, the compatibility between the two is not at all feasible. They even gave the example of Olympia Roofers, who are all the time busy in fixing roofs staking their life and safety. This risk being cropped all the time in their minds, have made them short tempered. According to recent study, for compatibility to develop among the partners, both need to be of opposite nature. Further, to decrease the divorce rates, government has even decided that the couple where both are with technical background will have to attend the class to fight stress and pressure twice a day. Once in the morning and second time in the evening for two hours each. Now, I myself being one of the Olympia Plumbers don’t require any such psychiatrist cure at the cost of four hours a day. Also, I am soon marrying a girl who happens to be from Olympia Electricians (Need one? click here!) group. Now, paying fees for two people and that too on daily basis will ruin my pocket, even this thought was horrifying. I feel completely traumatized by now, immediately jumped out of my seat, when I read the last line of the article. I fell down rolling on floor in laugh. The last line was something like this- “Don’t mind, Happy Fools Day”. I saw the date on newspaper it was 1st April. Oh man! Early in the morning I was made an April fool.

Can I tan after I get a tattoo?
You should wait at least 2 weeks before exposing your tattoo to the sun or tanning beds. It is a good idea to apply sunscreen to a tattoo before exposing it to the sun.People go to tattoo conventions for various reasons. Enthusiasts may go to visit with or meet out-of-town artists, get new tattoos, look at other people’s tattoos or show off their own. Artists may go to purchase flash work from other artists, visit with old friends or to gain more visibility in the field. If you are interested in finding out what’s going on in the tattoo world, the convention is the way to go.There is NOTHING in Tattoo Goo that can pull the color out.

Is there any reason why someone shouldn’t get a tattoo?
Pregnant women shouldn’t get a tattoo, and people with a lot of chemical sensitivities or allergies should at least discuss this with their artist and doctor prior to getting work done. Also anyone with immuno-depressed diseases who normally have difficulty healing on their own.

I want a full back tattoo, how much?
How long is a piece of string! The more information you give the simpler it is to give a price. Two tattoos can be the same size but one can be three times more expensive because of the detail and placement. (This can apply to any tattoo).

What should I expect with a new tattoo?
A new tattoo is an injury to your skin. It’s a lot like a scrape. Typically, when the artist finishes, he or she will cover the new tattoo with some sort of bandage. In the old days, this might have been gauze, but now we have non-stick bandages that are much better. Some will use clear plastic sheet, such as Saran Wrap (TM). This is all right, and has the advantage that you can look at your new tattoo without having to lift the bandage. Our artists can usually cover up or fix most tattoos-even really bad ones so you would never even know they were there. We are always honest though. If we don’t think it can be successfully covered we will let you know and work with you on what options you do have so you will ultimately be happy. We never do a tattoo just to make a buck.

My friend just bought a tattoo kit and wants to practice on me. Should I let them?
NO! Your friend could be putting both of your lives in danger by foolishly trying to learn this at home. Tell them they need to get a proper apprenticeship, and they can start practicing on you when their mentor (master) feels they are ready. If they don’t know how to get an apprenticeship, read Apprenticeship: On the Hunt!A new tattoo is an injury to your skin. It’s a lot like a scrape. Typically, when the artist finishes, he or she will cover the new tattoo with some sort of bandage.

How do I choose the right design for my tattoo?
Tattoo designs are as random and varied as the people who get them. While many people are happy picking a design off the wall of a tattoo shop, others wish to have an artist draw an original design for them. Your tattoo design will be determined by your individual taste and style. Find the right artist, explain what you would like to do, and be certain and satisfied with your design before the actual tattoo is applied.Tattooing is traditionally an apprentice based art. Apprenticeships last approximately three years before they are considered professional artists. You are making permanent, often visible changes to another human being and if proper procedure isn’t followed, could be jeopardizing that client’s health and emotional well-being. By taking advantage of the knowledge of experienced, professional artists, you will avoid many costly mistakes.

Can I get into the water after receiving a tattoo or piercing?
Salt water i.e. the Gulf of Mexico, isn’t so bad for a new tattoo or piercing. Heavily chlorinated water, such as pools and hot tubs, carry high bacterial rates and need to be avoided at all costs. Keep in mind you should never soak a new tattoo or piercing. Please bathe/shower and pop a breath mint. (I will do you the same courtesy.) Happy, healthy people heal better. Getting tattooed when you are sick, post or pre-surgery or extraordinarily stressed out is not ideal.

This is my first tattoo/piercing what should I expect?
Getting a body modification can be a very exciting experience and being prepared for what to expect can keep it fun. You should be free of drugs and alcohol, well rested and well fed. If you are tired or your blood sugar is low, you may experience a higher level of discomfort. The best thing to do is just relax and try to accept the discomfort. Fighting or tensing will only increase the pain. If you start to feel faint or queasy tell your artist/piercer right away.

Q.: Can I get a tattoo over a scar?
But it depends on the size of the scar. I can’t tell you if it is possible or not without actually seeing the scar.

Is there anything in Tattoo Goo that can pull the color out?
There is NOTHING in Tattoo Goo that can pull the color out. The biggest problem with aftercare is over application. by over applying any type of aftercare product, you smother the skin. The body’s natural defense is to push what is on top off. The body will try to push off what is covering the skin. It will try to push off the ointment and the pigments naturally get pushed to the top as well. It is very important not to over apply when healing a tattoo.Yes, if you get a tattoo from a reputable tattoo shop that is fully licensed by the state and follows standard safety practices. Here at Cat Tattoo we follow a rather stringent set of guidelines that insures your safety. The bottom line is; we as tattoo artists are at more of a risk than any customer. We deal with bodily fluids and blood-born pathogens all day everyday. We follow sterile procedures for our own safety as well as yours.
