I have been a web marketer for the last ten years; there have been many changes to the way people should go about promoting their websites in this time and it can prove to be a bit of nightmare trying to keep in touch with the latest web promotion changes. What worked only three years ago could now result in your site receiving a ban or penalty on the major search engines. Paid links and over-excessive reciprocal linking are seemingly a thing of the past. So as we move through 2009 what types of web promotion strategy should a webmaster be following?

I am not personally involved in this industry; I prefer to help people to learn how to play the guitar and I also work within the fostering services UK sector.

Only a couple of years ago a webmaster or their web promotion specialist could simply purchase a backward link on a high power website and that on its own would catapult the site up the rankings. It did not even seem to matter if the site that was providing the link had anything to do with the site purchasing the link. We therefore saw online poker websites purchasing text link adverts on media and publishing websites which had a high page rank. The trading of backward links became big business with many people making a large amount of money.

Google, the daddy of all of the search engines, then decided to change the rules and I for one am very happy that they did. They decided that it was no longer ethical to buy or sell backward links. This upset a lot of people, this tends to happen when money is involved, with many accusing Google of acting as God. The reply from Google was short and to the point and went along the lines of; it is our search engine and we therefore decide our own guidelines; if you want to sell text links that is fine but it may result in some form of penalty as this goes against our current. They were basically saying you can do whatever you want with your website and at the same time we can do whatever we want with our search engine. Fair play, I say. I am actually very happy with the new guidelines; it was very hard to compete with webmasters who had deep pockets etc. Now the one-man band can compete with the big corporation; hard work, keeping up to date with the latest guidelines as well as learning from the SEO experts will once again prove to be very beneficial.

2009 brings about a new watch word in the world of web promotion; relevancy. What does this mean? Well quite simply the backward links that you attempt to obtain now need to be relevant to the site that you run for them to have a real benefit. Again this surely is common sense. If a website about gardening has a link pointing to a website about camping, is this offering any value to its site visitors? Not really.

2009 is also the year when those who are willing to work hard will finally get their rewards. Some of the old favourites such as article marketing are becoming more popular than ever but quality is now far more important than quantity. Only the best articles will be chosen to be published on other people’s websites and let’s face it they have enough articles to choose from.

Ensuring that your website is optimised correctly with the main keywords placed naturally within the text of the homepage will also be essential, be careful not to “keyword stuff” your homepage though.

gum disease

Surgery of any kind is not something to look forward to. It can be unpleasant, not to mention painful and nerve wracking. One type of surgery that a lot of people put off having is surgery for diseased gum tissue as it can be very painful for some time after. Thanks to the latest technology people who need this surgery can now have a laser procedure which is much less invasive. If you would like to find out more about laser gum surgery here are some facts.

Two tools that might help you to avoid gum disease in the first place are oral irrigators and ora-md.

When laser surgery is performed a tiny amount of energy will be aimed at the gum to be treated. This will quickly eliminate any tissue which is diseased from the gum, treating it efficiently and effectively. Something which most people look for when they are having to undergo gum surgery.

During the treatment there is no incision made into the gum at all. This is unlike traditional surgery which can require a deep incision to get rid of tissue that is diseased. Laser gum surgery therefore does not carry the risk of infection that many other gum surgeries do as there is no wound left behind.

For the majority of people who have laser gum surgery there is little or no bleeding. This is because the laser cauterized the wound as it is getting rid of tissue. In addition to this the laser will also seal the nerve endings which means that the aftercare period is minimized as is discomfort. Many people who have gum surgery are still recovering 4 weeks after surgery. With laser gum surgery this period is just a few days.

Now that you know about laser surgery you might want to consider the expense of this option the next time you have a gum disease problem. It is fast, hygienic and has a minimal recovery time, what more could you ask for with a surgical procedure? However, why have to go through the expense of surgery at all? Even laser surgery is expensive! Next: Follow the links below to get your free report on stopping gum disease and preventing it from returning again.

Few things in business are more physically, emotionally and financially consuming than disputed debts. Regardless of whether such disputes are genuine or totally made-up in a desparate attempt to get out of paying, persuasive and persistent measures are needed to ensure rapid resolution.

If you find yourself the target of a disputed debt and you want to banish it quickly and efficiently here are the 5 steps you need to follow.

5 Simple Steps To Crush Any Disputed Debt

Step 1: Document Everything In Writing

When you first find out you’re on the receiving end of a dispute it’s vital that you get the complaint in writing. Don’t do what so many do by reactively defending your position or worse attacking the disputer. Doing so will only escalate hostilities and dramatically lessen your chances of a quick resolution.

What you should do is contact the complainant and respectfully thank them for bringing their concerns to your attention. Then say something along the lines of “To help me address all of your concerns I’d really appreciate it if you would write down all of your concerns and have these to me by this time next week.”

So that you don’t get strung along it’s essential that you specify a deadline for response. It’s also very smart to keep a detailed journal of this conversation, taking particular care to note your request for a formal letter of complaint.

Step 2: Respond To The Complaint Letter

By far the greatest benefit of receiving the complaint in writing is that it gives you the time and information to prepare a rock-solid strategic response. As such should complaint letter, the next step is to piece together all your facts and consider your response.

Now if the dispute is simply an oversight or mistake you may be able to satisfactorily resolve the matter over the phone.

Alternatively, if the debtor’s concerns can’t be quickly and easily resolved, you should again get in touch with the debtor, thank them for detailing their concerns in writing and then schedule a time to meet with them.

If, on the other hand you do not receive a written complaint, do NOT presume everything’s now OK. Instead, send them a letter that’s not too dissimilar to a Debt Reminder Letter.

This letter should emphasize the fact that you requested their concerns in writing yet you have not received them. It should go on to say that based on their lack of response you now consider the matter resolved and as such you would appreciate prompt and full payment. Again, give the debtor a maximum of a week to settle the account.

Step 3: Resolve All Complaints

If on meeting with the debtor you deem their concerns to be fair and reasonable then you should do all in your power to resolve the matter quickly and amicably. Don’t mess about! It’s your reputation on the line and if you try to screw them you’ll be hammered by more than just a bitter drawn out dispute.

Now if you satisfactorily address all of the debtor’s concerns it’s essential that you record the details of your actions to resolve the disputeon a Work Completion Confirmation form and getting the debtor sign this form. This document will prove to be extremely powerful down the road should the debtor continue to dispute the debt.

Having attended to the debtor’s concerns it’s appropriate to send them a Debt Reminder Letter stating that as you’ve now resolved their concerns prompt and full payment is now expected.

If on the other hand your debtor continues to withhold payment for any reason then you must send them a Final Demand Letter immediately.

Step 4: Bring Out The Big Guns

If after receiving your Final Demand Letter your debtors persists in disputing the debt that’s proof-positive that you’re now dealing with a professional debtor. As such, there’s only one option open to you and that’s to refer the debt to a Debt Collector.

However, not all Collection Agencies are created equal, especially when it comes to dealing with disputed debts.

It’s vital that you only ever hand such debts over to a recovery agency that is…

a) fully equipped to handle disputed debts, and

b) won’t charge you extra to to deal with such a debt.

You see, the sad reality is that with rare exception collection agencies will point-blank refuse to have anything to do with a disputed debt. Irrespective of whether a dispute is based on fact or clearly fabricated, most debt collectors don’t care. They consider such debts simply too difficult to handle and hence it’s better for them to just throw them back in your lap.

What’s worse, of the handful of agencies that will tackle disputed debts, the vast majority will charge you astronomical fees to do so.

However, while collection agencies that tackle disputes at no extra charge are rare, they do exist and if you’ve got a disputed debt on your lap you should hunt high and low to find them.

Step 5: Reinforce Your Defenses

If in the course of the dispute you discover that you’re inadequately protected against disputes, don’t bury your head in the sand. Rather capitalize on the opportunity presented to you to reinforce your weaknesses with the 7 Pillars of Prevention specifically designed to prevent disputes ravaging your business. Armed with this lethal arsenal you’ll posses unparalleled power to mow down unscrupulous debtors who set out to pillage your coffers.

Bottom Line: If ever you find yourself lumbered with a dispute it’s suicidal not to act quickly and decisively. The longer a dispute goes unresolved the more likely it will deteriorate in to a bitter, spiteful drawn-out fight that drains your resources for little to no reward.

Sticking to the 5 steps above is the most affordable formula for resolving disputed debts quickly and efficiently.

Would you like to become free from debt? Are you becoming overly stressed with your debt problem? Being in debt can seriously impact on a person’s life; it can affect personal relationships and it can even lead to a depression.

Now I must make it clear that what I am going to write in this article should not be seen as financial advice as I am by no means a financial adviser. I will be writing about my own experiences of debt. I am actually a person who helps people to overcome stuttering and I also work with a company that offers a DVD duplication service. As a hobby I have an interest in teaching people to learn to play the guitar.

People who are in debt feel an array of emotions; guilt, stress, depression, anxiety are to name but a few. But surely there must be a solution; there must be someone who can help and surely there is some way out of this life of misery and poverty.

There are steps that have to be taken in order for the person to break free from debt.

Step one is where the person who is in debt admits to themselves that they require help. They then have to tear up all of their credit cards and agree to stick to a debt management program. There will be no more loans or credit cards being applied for; those days will have been buried in the mire of the past.

Once the person has come to terms and agreed with step one it is then time to admit the debt, including the full amount of the debt, to their family. This is often far from easy but it is essential.

Step three is where you contact all of the creditors to apply for the interest and debt to be frozen. You explain that you are eager to pay back the money but that you are unable to make the payments at present. Include all of the amounts that you owe to the various companies and also a copy of your pay slip. Then tell them the amount that you can afford to pay each month.

This may all seem a little crazy however it often works. It is about being honest with yourself, honest with your family and honest with your creditors. At the end of the day what more can you do?

People can also raise additional money by finding ways to reduce their overheads, for example how much they spend on various bills each month. There is a big market around now where specialists can offer you cheap calls to mobiles for example.

I hope the readers of this article succeed in their quest to break free from debt.

It is a sad day in the world of washing machine factories. More than 300 workers have lost their jobs when the company announced it was closing the factory as it had become “unsustainable”. The fact that a member of staff collapsed and died earlier in the morning put a very harsh reality check on things at the factory and everyone was sent home early in accordance.

This was truly a sad story to hear and the staff were sent home early as a sombre atmosphere hit the factory. The factory specified in commercial washing machines, large washing machines and other commercial laundry equipment. Although the equipment was widely being distributed all over the country the parent company, 'Indesit' has decided that the factory is too expensive to run.

Considering the state of the economy right now it sounds just about right that a factory of this nature would be closed down. Companies across the globe are looking at minimising costs as much as possible. It is difficult to comprehend but it is the truth. When people are forced to start claiming more and more benefits, the economy only slows down even further. Once these people are claiming more benefits the government then puts up tax. It really is a viscious circle and it is going to take us a long time to get out of.

You have to ask yourself - What is the government doing to help resolve the situation? The have ploughed over £1.5bn into the economy and still nothing has happened in terms of seeing this economy get back to where it needs to be. The country is still in dis-belief that this priminister can pull us out of this slump that is the credit crunch and many people are asking for him to hand in his notice as leader of this country.
