PrePaid Legal Services

We can never predict when we’ll need legal help. There have been so many times when we’ve been cheated by cons and needed the advice of lawyers. But most people don’t really approach a lawyer for help unless it’s absolutely necessary because of the high costs and hassles involved. To overcome these problems, PrePaid Legal services Inc was established; through this, members need to pay a fixed amount every month to use free legal assistance for certain issues.

How It All Started – Background Of The Company

The need for PrePaid legal services was identified by its founder Harland C Stonecipher in 1969 when he had to pay heavy compensation for a motor accident. In 1983, PrePaid legal was established as an MLM company to sell its plans through associates. Soon the business expanded to reach fifty states in the US and Canada. However it also had its share of lawsuits from dissatisfied customers as well as representatives.

The Pre Paid Legal Service

For a fixed monthly fee of , members get access to legal services for research and documentation work, wills, lawyer consultation and assistance in traffic issues. Though major criminal cases, divorce and child custody are not covered for, members could get a good discount for consultations on such issues. The Firm also offers an identity theft monitoring and restoration service.

The PrePaid Legal Services Associate Program

Become an associate by paying the startup fee of . Commissions range between and 0. As in other network marketing businesses, there are lots of bonuses and perks along the way that’ll make you sit up and take notice of the business opportunity. Payment is made as soon as orders are submitted; so there’s no waiting period for commissions. New reps are trained well in the art of selling and given complete support.

Struggling with building a business

This seems like an easy way to make money; however, many people who were lured in with the promise of easy money have faced only disappointment. Even if your personal network is substantial, you have to consider the fact that you can’t make everyone subscribe to the Prepaid legal membership. The challenges faced by reps in this business are:

-    Most people don’t need legal services regularly; hence they wouldn’t want to spend so much money on prepaid legal services.
-    The company follows a traditional network marketing setup wherein associates are trained to invite people they know to “parties”. Most customers are fed up with such strategies; this technique is not likely to bring in much business.
-    Customers cannot be won over by trying to coax them to subscribe to your product. Pestering them will not help your cause nor get you referrals.

Winning PrePaid Legal Services Strategies

In an MLM setup, your income depends on your promotion techniques. This field has seen extremes in success as well as failure. Interactive marketing of your business through the internet is sure to fetch you good results. Find out tips and tricks of virtual marketing and you’ll be surprised to see the results in your business.

Central to all marketing campaigns is the strategy the team intends to use for marketing the product. Is the product going to be advertised on the television or on radio? Is the campaign going to target a specific gender or age group? These questions are important to any marketing campaign. Developing the strategy for a campaign requires brainstorming to best determine the way to get the product to the targeted consumer. Mind Mapping can be instrumental in “mapping out” one’s marketing strategy, and organizing the best path from product to consumer. By using a Mind Map’s visual, color and image components, marketers will find it easy to translate brainstorming thoughts and ideas into actionable marketing strategies.

Using Mind Mapping to Develop a Marketing Strategy

So you’ve identified your target consumer for your product: teenage boys age 13-15. Now, it’s time to come up with a strategy for marketing your product to them. You and your marketing team begin the process of brainstorming ideas for this strategy by using a Mind Map. The central item you might list on the Mind Map is the product itself, represented as the main image of your map. To the right of the central image, an image or words depicting your target group, the teenage boys, might be shown. Flowing from this image depicting the target group, on the “child branches”, could be the main channels used to reach this group, such as MTV television commercials, or ads on radio stations playing Top 100 songs. The next depiction on the map might be an image representing channels that most make sense when marketing your product. For instance, if your product requires it to be explained using visual images, a radio station ad would not be a useful marketing channel. The channels most intuitive to your product could be listed on “child branches” attached to this image. Lastly, you might add a “branch” depicting the overlapping marketing channels between the obvious channels for marketing your product, and the channels used most often to reach teenage boys. After looking at your initial map, you realize that television ads and Internet commercials are natural channels for marketing your product and channels that commonly reach your target group. You and your team then decide to focus on television ads as part of your marketing strategy. Since your target group watches MTV most often, you decide that this is the channel on which to air your ads.

In this simplistic example, the Mind Map diagram helped organize some preliminary thoughts surrounding the target group and common marketing channels. By using a Mind Map, the marketing team are able to develop one facet of their marketing strategy. Attached is a Mind Map diagram that shows the brainstorming notes alluded to in the above example. As the diagram exhibits, even a simplistic map can help formulate an actionable marketing strategy.

Continuing to Develop the Marketing Strategy Using Mind Mapping

As the process continues for developing the marketing strategy, the marketing team may want to add more images, target groups, pictures, or colors to the Mind Map described above. Or, the team may want to put together a new map for each facet of their marketing strategy. Either way, the Mind Map’s spatial and highly visual layout can allow the marketing team to “map out” their thoughts surrounding a marketing strategy. In the above example, the Mind Map helped organize these thoughts in a manner that showed the natural flow of the product to the target group. And, identifying this natural flow is a crucial step in developing a good marketing strategy.

A life of a web marketer can be a very relaxing one with the ability to choose your own hours and to work when you want to work. I have been working as a web promotion specialist for the last ten years and have what is known as “proven results”. In this article I am going to describe a typical day that I would have a few years ago(before the wife and kids arrived). I love my current life however I do sometimes miss those happy quiet days when I could do what I wanted to when I wanted to.

It is the year 2000 and I have eight people/companies who I am working for. They have contracted me to promote their websites with the view of gaining a higher search engine ranking position and to increase their overall profits.

I have learnt rather a lot about SEO and web promotion up to this point mainly from reading the views of the established specialists from the industry.

I would usually work between 11pm and 3am is this is when my concentration seemed to be at its best.

This would be my typical day:

7am – This is the time that I would normally wake up; I would clean my teeth and go to the toliet before going back to bed.

10am – It is now time to start my day, out comes the laptop and we are in business. This is the time where I read through a number of websites and check my e-mail.

10.20am – I phone the DVD replication company to check if the discs that I have ordered about stammering advice are ready. I also have a quick check on the net to see if I can find any cheap hotel deals.

10.10.30am – It is now time for my breakfast – a nice piece of toast. It is time for a relax after all it has been a hectic morning!

1pm – I walk to the shops; firstly for some much needed exercise and secondly to buy a newspaper.

2pm – I take a drive to my local tennis club to play a game with a good friend of mine.

6pm – I eat my evening meal which would normally consist of pasta or chicken and rice.

A quick break from the t.v to check my e-mails.v. I speak to a good friend of mine on the telephone who is arranging a service for me where by I will be able to make cheap calls.

11pm – It is time to get to work – to obtain those all important backward links and to ensure that the clients websites are still positioned/ranked within the top ten of Google for their main keywords.

3.20am – I head off to gain some much deserved sleep.

When I was twenty-three, I had what I believed was a good business idea. I was going to sell cheap holidays as I knew a contact in the industry.

At the same time I would also attempt to make money via offering a fostering services UK service to the people that I knew.

By reading a number of books on marketing for small businesses and by asking a good friend of mine who has a business which is to do with selling external doors, I managed to find some potential routes which could help me to get started.

Direct marketing

This was one of the first areas I tried. I had a small leaflet produced which explained the speech coaching service that I was offering and then with the help of some friends and family, went around my local area delivering them. This was not as successful as I hoped it would be, however I am sure that this area of marketing could work well for other types of business.

Newspapers

I then decided to speculate to accumulate. I spoke with a few of the papers that were local to me and took out a small advert in each of them. This advert would reach quite a large number of people and even though this was quite an expensive form of marketing, it did work for me in the early days.

Open evenings/days

I wanted to expand the area that I was going to offer my services. I decided to hold an open day or presentation in various parts of the country which would help to promote my business.

This was successful as newspapers were happy to report this open day free of charge, as it was a local event which would be of interest to their readers.

Yellow pages

I advertised in the yellow pages for a number of years but their prices just seemed to increase to an unrealistic level. The majority of people in the United Kingdom now have access to the web and for me this is very much the future; there will even be “internet houses” within a few years. Yellow pages or as it is now called Yell, has become more expensive when in reality probably less people are using it.

These adverts were of benefit for a while and could well be of use to other small business owners. I just think that you can achieve better value for money these days by advertising in other areas such as the internet.

Websites

I paid a company to design and build me a website around seven years ago and this has by far been the best marketing investment I have made thus far. I have worked hard to promote this site and it is now doing well in the major search engines.

Radio and television marketing

I can not really write too much about this form of advertising as I have not personally given it a go. Why not? I hear you ask. Well purely because I think that it costs too much money. That being said I have read reports about just how beneficial radio and TV adverts can be for a business.

I am sure there are many other ways of marketing a small business and I will seek them out in the future for my own business.

The above ideas are what I have learnt about and as you may have read, I have tried some of them myself with mixed success. Every business is obviously different and it is basically a form of trial and error to find which ones will work.
